Charles Leclerc pays tribute to Niki Lauda with special Monza helmet | 2025 F1 Italian GP.

Design inspired by Lauda

The Red Scuderia driver chose to honor Niki Lauda with a helmet clearly inspired by the three-time Formula 1 world champion, who left a lasting mark on Ferrari’s history. Charles Leclerc’s helmet removes the white that usually accompanies the red to form the Monegasque flag, keeping only the signature Ferrari red. The helmet will be entirely red, with subtle details resembling Lauda’s iconic design.

The name and surname appear on the sides of the helmet in white, using the same font as Niki Lauda’s helmet. The prancing horse emblem is present on the front, but instead of the Scuderia logo, it mirrors the one found on Ferrari road cars and at the Maranello factory on Via dell’Abetone Inferiore.

Charles Leclerc’s number is displayed on the top of the helmet inside a white number plate, crossed by a thin tricolor stripe. Another notable detail is the base red color, which is darker and metallic compared to the classic shade used by the Monegasque in most other events this season.
