Villeneuve sports a simple multi-coloured helmet, which has remained unchanged for his entire professional career. The helmet has a blue upper, with flowing pink, yellow, green and red lines underneath. Villeneuve apparently designed his helmet while doodling on a drawing pad. The pink line forms a 'V' on each side, which Villeneuve has been quoted as saying was 'unintentional'. Some say that the colors of the helmet were based on the shirt of his mother Joann.
