The Design
The Italian tricolour. Green, white and red, drapes the shell in a direct tribute to the iconic helmet Valentino Rossi wore to victory at Mugello in 2002, re-adapted for Antonelli by Drudi Performance with Rossi's personal blessing. Wrapped around the crown, 22 hand-drawn caricatures celebrate Italian life, a sun, the sea, a pizza, an espresso, a go-kart, a MotoGP bike, and the national football team. At the rear, two cartoon figures: one Antonelli, one Rossi. A deeply personal design for the most significant race of his young career.
